Porpoisemonkey's Top 10 Favorite Video Games

10. Borderlands:
The strong RPG elements of this game make it on my list but the weak story telling pushes it back. It is a great game and the installation of Coop Play makes it even more fun to play. If you like coop gameplay then this game is for you.

9. Shadow of the Colossus
This Ps2 classic made me into a video gamer. I rented it and me and my cousin played all weekend, and when i got to the half-way point i knew it was time to return it to blockbuster. I was determined to buy it after that. I did and have beaten it on all modes and difficulties. I love that game.  (Sorry about not having any original pictures)
8. Battlefield 3:
Many people love this fast paced action shooter from Dice, but to me it was one of my first video game addictions. Yes yes i know it's hard to believe, A video game blogger addicted to a video game? No Way! but sadly, it is true. it's groundbreaking multiplayer and solid single-player makes it number 8 on my list.

7. Singularity
This game's compelling story made it my number 7 spot. The gameplay was a little above average, and the multiplayer may have been a nightmare, but the storyline of this game made me feel like i was watching one of my favorite scary movies at the theater with an ending that is so amazing i almost literally pooped my pants, that is pretty intense.

6. Alan Wake: This game although it wasn't scary was very good. I played through this game and was pleasantly surprised, the gameplay does get close to repetitive but then they throw something new at you. The Lost like storyline is very compelling and drags you in with cliffhangers to the next chapter. This game would probably have gotten a higher rating if the ending made more sense to me, but as always games with Lost like storylines shouldn't make sense.

5. Guitar Hero 5
This game is the 5th installment of a series of classic games. The perfect party game with infamous songs like Sympathy for the Devil By the Rolling stones and All along the Watchtower by Bob dylan and if you don't really like playing the guitar you can try bass, drums, or even singing. This game means a lot to me and that is why it is my number 5 choice.

4. L.A. Noire:
This game is not for people with a short attention span, the game on the outside looks like a fast paced action game but on the inside is a game with a great story line, amazing graphics, groundbreaking gameplay mechanics, and an ending that will make you cry for hours. I played this game all the way through and with all the cases the gameplay seemed endless and then after you beat the game you can do side missions or buy some DLC either way it is a great game that i am honored to have as number four on my list.

3. Saints Row the Third:
This game is Wacky, Funny, Full of action, and mostly amazing. The only problem with this game is that they didn't sell it any earlier. I think that this game should have been game of the year. I play this game with my friends very frequently and i know that it is definitely a game that i will remember for the rest of my life.

2. Batman Arkham City
This game one of the best singleplayer campaigns i have ever played. So good that i played it a second time and for a person like me that is a rare situation, I have started my second playthrough and it is still just as fun as before.

1. Fallout 3: Although Fallout New Vegas has been released I feel that Fallout 3 is the greatest game i have ever played. I couldn't describe to you how much i love this game. You have the choice to do anything. The point of the game is to figure out where your father is in the nuclear capital wasteland. This is Washington D.C. which has been wrecked by nukes. One of the first decisions in the game is whether or not to arm a nuclear device in the town of Megaton. In this town you have two choices Arm the bomb and meet up at a place called Tenpenny tower where you receive a lot of money and a home but your Karma (Evil/Good Meter) goes down, or you can disarm the bomb receive a small amount of money but own a home in Megaton and have your Karma go up, but the real landslide of this decision is if you choose to destroy megaton, then it will be gone,  Forever. These choices team up into a game that is overall satisfying and amazing. I strongly recommend this game to anyone who even likes games because it is a must buy.
