More One-offs from CartemJ823

Sorry about the lack of posts lately, we're all pretty busy. But I want to give CartemJ823 some credit for making time in the past few weeks to put up a few more entries of his "One-offs" series (even if it took him a week to upload the most recent one to the G2D channel).

Anglerte's Ten Games of the Week (03/04)

I made a habit out of pairing zeros with single digit numbers in titles like this, so if that bothers you, get over it.

Just as with the Soundtrack of the Week segment and all the unedited videos that I've been lagging behind on, I'm going to try to make up for lost time by posting in bulk. That was kind of a strange way to word that, but it's already been done, so why bother backtracking when I'm already about two weeks behind. As far as the videos go, I won't be able to catch up quite as easily, but I'll try to make time where I can reasonably manage to do so. By the way, Stevie Jay decided add some of the games that he knows I own to the list, so there's a chance I may reference some of the games that he(or Anglerbe) already added. With that established, on with the list:

Anglerbe's Soundtrack of the Week

The Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword

Ballad of the Goddess
Being the theme of the game, I can well imagine that this one is overused on top track lists around the net...maybe. In any case, I argue that it well earns such a title. Sure, a chunk of it is Zelda's Lullaby backwards (major spoiler at this point, I know), but that's only for the better. The fact that a classic Nintendo theme could be manipulated and restructured into an (almost) completely new track, and yet be equally as pleasant to the ears, really says something about the musical talent over at Nintendo HQ. This creative take on a main theme reflects the entirety of Skyward Sword; not only does it have a creative art direction, it also handles both the overworld and underworld in a different manner than past entries in the series, and characters are arguably at their best. Of course, as exemplified here in the Ballad of the Goddess, the orchestrated music adds a certain level of "epic" (I don't like to throw that word around a lot, but there's no better substitute I can think of here) to the audio, and, by extension, the game itself. Not to mention, it's incredibly catchy.

Central Coast Comic Con (C4) 2013 with Gamed2Death

Anglerbe, Jburitto and I went to Comic Con at the Ventura County Fair Grounds and did some stuff. Enjoy, and sorry for the delay! (This was recorded on September 7, 2013)

Soundtrack For The Weak

We all know that there are many fantastic tunes to bob your head to when taking a bathroom break. This song, is no exception, and does in fact make you much stronger than you normally are during that period of time (refer to the top comment). That is why I, Steven Jerep, entitle this song to be the "Soundtrack For The Weak". This song is the theme song to the Rocky movie series, and if you are not familiar with the story, he's an italian boxer with the urge to kill his first person in the ring, until he realized he is too weak to do so. He later talked with his Chief Sensei, Julio Iglesias, about wanting enough power to kill someone in the ring. Chief Sensei Julio recommended to him to listen to this song on repeat until his ears exploded of agony. When that finally happened, he killed his first victim, Yoko Ono.

Anglerbe's Soundtrack of the Week

Silent Hill Origins

Illusion In Me
This one's actually I game I haven't beaten--yet. An LP is underway, and will EVENTUALLY be finished. In the meantime, I can simply reinforce the statement that Silent Hill games always have exceptional music. Deeply metaphorical, melancholy, and yet some glimmer of hope. It seems to me that it reflects the series well. This particular track is no exception to the rule, and thus far I think its well suited to the origin story.
