10 Excellent Soundtracks in Hunting Games

Just as with soundtracks from all(or most) other game genres, hunting games (particularly from around 1999-2003) tend to have excellent (and in most cases, nostalgic) soundtracks. Arranged in no particular order, the following is a list of noteworthy soundtracks that have a description such as that that was previously described (excellent quality and potentially have nostalgic value to some people. Not too many standards there, so there's quite a few to choose from.):

1. Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter 3-"Trophy Room"

One of my personal favorite, this song is like "Zelda's Lullaby"; it just makes you happy(although I don't think it gives you access to areas that were otherwise restricted, other than your trophy room, of course).

2. Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter 3-"Main Menu"

Take what I said about the previous item and square it, and there you have an excellent description  for this soundtrack.

3. Deer Hunter 2004- "Main Menu"

An excellent blend of blues and country. Too bad this game didn't last very long before it's sequel came out.

4. Deer Hunter 2005- "Main Menu"

While I personally don't think this main theme is quite as good as its predecessor's,  it's definitely a catchy country-western-style theme that goes great with any hunt of this style.

5. Deer Hunter 2005- "Trophy Room"

I found this style of trophy room interesting; while most other trophy room soundtracks attempt to sound optimistic so that you'll be positive about your virtual hunting accomplishments, Deer Hunter 2005's soundtrack went the other direction, to some degree. The soundtrack is very slightly depressing, and this actually adds a nostalgic flavor to the feeling of the trophy room. I guess they did this because they wanted you to think about all the good times you had playing the game while you looked at your trophies.

6. Cabelas Big Game Hunter 2004- "Main Menu"

This soundtrack goes perfect with the animated background on the main menu, which, as you know if you played the game, pans all around a 3d environment. In short, this soundtrack describes the style of the older Cabelas games; complete hunting objectives while you're still actually hunting.

7. Cabelas Dangerous Hunts- "Main Menu"

The original Dangerous Hunter was a very interesting style of game; it took survival-horror, got rid of a lot of the horror, and combined what was left with a suspenseful, mission-based hunting game. The menu soundtrack depicts this combination perfectly; a jungle-like, suspenseful, dramatic theme that foreshadows coming action, adventure, and danger.

8. Trophy Hunter 2003-"Main Menu"

Another country-western-style theme.

9. Trophy Hunter 2003- "Trophy Room"

This track follows a style similar to that of item 5 (Deer Hunter 2005-"Trophy Room"). I personally prefer this one, because there seems to be a little more to it. It also reminds me slightly of a Montgomery Gentry song.

10. Bird Hunter Wild Wings- "Main Menu"

A fine bluegrass-style theme that suits the game perfectly.

Well, that's all for this list. As always, if you have anything to say about the list, or if you have any recommendation for future lists (I will more than likely create a "sequel" to this list, in which I add 10 more songs that fit the necessary description. There's just so many of them.), or if you have anything to say at all, feel free to leave a comment in the comments section. Be sure to check us out on Youtube! Thank You! Now let's go digital hunting...
