Merry Christmas 2014 Edition!

That's right, we're still alive, and better at procrastinating than ever before! Hopefully anyone stumbling through this here ghost town had a decent past few days, if not months. Enjoy "The Evil Within", Smash Bros 4 and whatever else as we do whatever we feel like doing! Day, night and life, have a good one!

(we do not own this photograph, they can quote me on that)

Update w/ Anglerbe

It's been a little while since I've made a post, so here 'ya go.

First of all, my own personal channel turned 3 years old on the 25th. So there's that.

Also, this was announced
I admit I'm pleasantly surprised. Let's hope it actually ends up being a decent game this time around (Referring to RE6; I haven't even played the first Revelations yet, although I own it). I doubt it'll save Capcom, but then again, they're finally tapping into the parched survival-horror market, so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Fun With Brawl Mods

With the release of Smash 4 right around the corner, I've pretty much had that game in mind non stop. Fortunately, the Brawl community continues to pump out a  shit ton of user-made content that are fairly easy for new hackers (like me), to add them to the game. Additionally, the popular Brawl mod 'Project M' makes modding even easier, so if you're having trouble adding a certain skin you like, you can simply drop  it in P:M's folder on your SD card, rather than having to Homebrew your Wii, but I digress.

Now that that's out of the way, I'd like to share with you (in no particular order) some of my favorite user generated content.

Skins

Referee Mario

Wii R.O.B.

Mega Charizard X

Pacman Kirby

Raichu (Over Pikachu)

Stages

Project M Stadium (Over Pokemon Stadium 2)

Kongo Jungle 64 HD

Take notes Sakurai.

Resident Evil REmake 2015 Remaster

That's right! One of my favorite games is getting a remaster/port to new-gen consoles, and PC to boot!
Disregarding the fact that my laptop is slowly but surely dying from the inside out, I'll most likely be getting the PC version (although this is subject to change). It is a disappointment that there will be no WiiU version, especially since the original remake (oxymoron) was ported to Wii. Of course that means that technically we can already play the REmake on WiiU, but then it's lacking all of the remastered features, which encompass more than simply a graphical update. The remaster will also feature analog controls (presumably in the style of Silent Hill 2/Devil May Cry), which will hopefully appeal to people who are ordinarily more critical toward control schemes. I've lost a lot of faith in Capcom as a company as of late, but this might just be a small step toward redemption.

G2D Montage: Shadow of the Colossus LP (Summer 2012) Part 2

Another three episodes; enjoy.

G2D Montage: Haunting Ground Part 2

G2D Montage: Shadow of the Colossus LP (Summer 2012) Part 1

I wanted to go back and refine our older Let's Play series. I'm not great at sticking with these sorts of things, but I'll try to produce abridged versions of all the series we uploaded on our other YouTube channels, except Star Fox Adventures (which is still in the making, but will be transfered to the G2D Plays Channel), Silent Hill Origins (which is nearly complete, if it isn't already complete and uploaded), and Eternal Darkness (although we may eventually make a greatest momments montage in honor of this series particularly).

G2D Montage: Haunting Ground Part 1

Some stuff from late winter.

Ingmar: A story of Redemption

Never, ever forget

Dayz Stories: The Singing Traveler

Another story to pull on your heart strings.

Grand Theft Auto V: Cargobob Fun

GTA with Porpoisemonkey and MrShadowFox.

Gamed2Death Blind Let's Plays: Tenchu

One of the strange some-what-akin-to-hack-and-slash games we found on the market.

Dayz Stories: Pants and Betrayal

One of the couple Dayz Stories Porpoisemonkey recorded in the past few months.

Club Nintendo Elite Prize: EarthBound

Well the prizes were announced, and I have to say they were pretty disappointing. Like the Mario Kart 8 bonus, we were basically given the option to download a free game from the online shop. While there was a wider selection than in the previous case, most of the games were either cliche virtual console offers or otherwise uninteresting. Having achieved platinum status, I felt compelled to select an option not available to gold members, and we ended up settling with EarthBound.

We're very close to achieving gold status for next year, and it's quite likely we'll reach platinum, what with Smash Brothers and the establishment of an actual game library for the Wii U (also we may buy 3DSs), so hopefully next years prizes will be more exciting and/or appealing.

Platinum on Club Nintendo

Apparently there's this thing called club Nintendo that rewards you for making first party hardware and game purchases. Unless you're like Jburitto, if you haven't registered your stuff, there's a good chance you can get hold of some really interesting merchandise. After registering pretty much everything we own (excluding the Wii and a mounf of DS games), we came out with over 1000 Ninten-coins. Or maybe they just call them coins. I'll call them Ninten-coins. Well, I bout the Wii U port of "Kirby's Adventure" for 200 coins, because it's the qeuntessential Kirby game, it's pretty much the first game I ever played, and it's fun. Other than that though, they don't have any prizes we're particularly interested in. While pocketing the other 900 or so remaining Ninten-Coins, my eyes stumbled upon the rating system thing, and apparently we achieved "Platinum Status". I guess they'll be reviewing our status on July 1st, and we'll be recieving some sort of special Nintendo-related present. As I later discovered, it only takes around 600 coins to achieve platinum status (that's probably a lot steeper when you aren't sitting on 200 games and consoles you haven't registered), so we're saving the rest of our stuff for the following Ninten-year (each of these being from July 1st to Junr 30th of the following year). A warning to those who've registered their stuff but somehow are unaware: you only have two years to spend your coins before they expire. You can spend all you're coins and still achieve higher ranks (ranking system doesn't subtract from purchases), but everything has to be spent in a two year duration.

Anyway, when we find out what the prize is, we'll do an unboxing special (or the nearest equivalent) if it's physical, or a virtual review if it's a digital distribution. Most likely we'll have enough stuff to achieve Platinum for the next few years (especially because they'll finally be releasing Wii U games), so consider this an announcement for an anual show-casing special, where we'll pretentiously force our earnings in the faces of all foolish enough to enter the realm of this blog or click into any associated YouTube videos.

Anyway, I'll be back with updates. In the meantime, enjoy our meager stream of video content.

Post title

Stevie Jay's Top 14 Games Of The 2010: For an active blog.

Number 9: The Legendary Of Zelda;

Definetly worthy of taking one of the top 3 spots in this list. Comoplete with different types of cross bows, this game has it all. I dont want to spoil sh*t for you so buy it yourself on Ebay for only $0200 dollers.

#9, Mr McGee's Rolling Pin Bowling King Jr.

This is another classic I grew up with in the 70"s. It was original at the time but then it started doing annual releases and it got even better. Worth the price tag in my eyes, but im colorblind so what do I know huh punk.

Next in line is lucky number eight MArio Professional football's trackmeet swim

Let's take a game, then let's take real life, and lets combine them ok Pres Bush. Thats what John Madden said before taking oath, and look where he is now. Definitely in my books as GOTY

Numero-a seis-ooooooooooo es DIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was a fun game, I remember playing this as a kid cause I had a life. Moving on. My new favorite remake; AND ITS GOING TO BE COMPATIBLE ON WIII the U
#5: Watch_Dogs;

I just thought it was way too much hype to begin with. Sure the trailers looked alright, but the final product was pure garbage. I cannot understand why anybody would defend this lousy excuse for a game, why even calling it a game is a compliment. The story was so unrealistic compared to how Ubisoft said it would be. There's seriously only 5 civilians at any given time, and ALL of them have the exact same name. The car physics were terrible, the gunfights were terrible, and the graphics were the WORST thing I had ever seen in a video game, I swear, even Sonic '06 has this game beat. Save your money and don't buy it, let's move on.

for: VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Who could forget the timeless classic Grand Theft Auto V? Even Ellen on the today show called it the new york times best book she had ever played. For a low fee of 1 dollars this game will keep you from getting bored forever.

WOW THATS A WRAP! If you liked this top 10, don't forget to subscribe to Anglerte on youtube.

Anglerbe's Top 10 Favorite Games as of 2014

10. Devil May Cry 3 (PS3)

The epitome of great hack-and-slash games, with one of my favorite protagonists in any series. There's something about the way that this game controls that just feels natural. And skating around on a demon with two blazing handguns after running up a wall is just badass. By the way, the list of difficulty levels is borderline ridiculous.

9. Warhawk (PS3)

One of my favorite games to play with friends, and a great third-person-shooter, as well. I'll really miss this one when the servers go down...

8. Silent Hill 2 (PS2)

One of the best stories I've seen in a game thus far, coupled with Silent Hill's trademark creepy atmosphere. Despite James being an outwardly flat character, the depth and development of both him and every other character in the game is nearly perfect. And Pyramid Head.

7. Carnivores Cityscape (PC)

Despite some of it's flaws, one of my favorite FPS games, with surprisingly great atmosphere. And dinosaurs are cool.

6. Shadow of the Colossus (PS2)

A fantastic adventure game with an atmosphere of both colossal epicness (I hate to throw that word around, made up or not) and vast emptiness. It also has a surprising story/character depth, for a game with a near-silent protagonist and very few characters. And the music is very fitting and pleasant to listen to.

5. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (GCN)

So bad/cheesy that I can't help but love it. Crush 40 makes it all the better, and even the multiplayer is enjoyable.

4. Luigi's Mansion (GCN)

Probably the game I've beaten the most times, granted it isn't all that long. There's something I love about this game's atmosphere, as well. It's very different than any other game in the Mario series, and I think that factors into its charm.

3. Resident Evil REmake (Wii)

My favorite game from one of my favorite series, with one of my favorite villains and one of my favorite supporting characters. And once again, atmosphere, largely because of the flesh-eating monstrosities but also because of the soundtrack.

2. The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess (Wii)

Another of my favorite games from another one of my favorite series. I love OoT and MM as much as the next guy(/gal), but there's something about this one (nostalgia?) that puts it on top for me. Twilight Princess also has my favorite overworld warp system in the series.

1. Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter 3 (PC)

My favorite game from a genre that nowadays is almost non-existent, and in many cases where it does exist it's completely misconstrued. Also probably the first game I ever played.

Some honorable mentions:
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (PS3)
Carnivores 2 (PC)
Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GCN)
Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3 (GCN)
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (PS3)
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (PS3)
Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES)
Mario Kart DS (DS)

Anglerbe's SSB Roster Prediction 4/17/2014

First of all, it's been several months since I've made a post, so hello all you readers (not that anybody actually reads these things). Since StevieJay made a SSB4 roster prediction post, I've decided to create one of my own, which I've drafted after some discussion with friends. Anglerte made the observation that on the official website, there appears to be 7 unused boxes on the character roster at the bottom of the site (pictured below). Assuming that this is an indicator of the number of characters left to be announced (and yes, this is a big assumption but it's all we have to work with right now), here are some of my predictions for the remaining fighters:

Note the 7 boxes

1. Grass Type Pokemon (Pokemon)

Okay, I know this isn't a specific character, but let me explain my reasoning here before you shut me down on this one. They've already announced Charizard, the fire type from gen 1, and Greninja, the water type from gen 6. Because they removed Squirtle and Ivysaur, and replaced the water type, it would logically follow that they will replace Ivysaur with another grass type. Some of my friends have speculated that this new grass type will be from a middle generation (probably gen 4), but because Lucario has already been announced as a returning fighter, I don't see why they would add another gen 4 Pokemon.

2. Pac-Man (Pac-Man)

This one sounds like a stretch at first, but if Wii Fit Trainer is a thing then nothing is out of the question. Considering certain items from Namco games were displayed in the Nintendo Direct, it is a possibility that Pac-Man would join the roster with fellow video game icons Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man.

3. Dante (Devil May Cry)

This one might be just wishful thinking, but I might as well still add it. With the relatively high presence of 3rd Party characters that have already been announced, the likelihood of this actually happening is small, but if Capcom let Mega Man into the game then why not Dante? He already has a little experience in the fighting genre, and his combination of gunslingling and swordplay would bring a reasonably unique play style to the fight. And Capcom is dying not-so-slowly anyway, so it could be like a swansong to them. Just put him in it. Please.

4. Crystal/Falco/Slippy (Star Fox)

We've made a lot of jokes about Crystal being in the game, but as of yet no Star Fox characters other than Fox himself have been announced. Falco has not even been confirmed as a returning fighter, prompting me to think that either a. He's late to the party or b. He's not coming at all. If he isn't making a return, I feel like either Crystal or Slippy have the best chances of taking his place, Crystal because of the potential of her staff and Slippy because, well, he's Slippy.

5. Mew (Pokemon)

Because Sakurai is a troll.

6. Dolph Lundgren

No.
