Anglerte's Soundtrack of the Week

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger

Having just completed our Gunslinger let's play, I can easily say that this was the most unique and defining track the game had to offer. While it's not extremely fast paced or over-the-top in anyway, it possesses a sort of progressive confidence and suspenseful excitement that perfectly labels the overarching tone of the story, as well as the protagonist of said story. The dynamic in instruments and the lack of bells consistently gonging in the background clearly highlight the differences between Gunslinger and Bound in Blood in respect  to the soundtrack and in a metaphorical sense as well; you're not on a demanding quest for treasure, running from the law and outlaws alike; you're a bounty hunter, and that fact is supported by the profound stress on fire fights and relentless aggression.
